SAMSUNG CASE STUDY
CHALLENGE
Samsung was looking for innovative ways to increase awareness of the new Galaxy S while specifically showcasing the unique filming and viewing capabilities before the phone’s release. In addition, Samsung wanted to increase its association with celebrities by directly exposing talent to the product.
STRATEGY
Young Hollywood created the “Studio Secrets” blog which showcases the behind the scenes footage from the Young Hollywood Studio, presented by the Samsung Galaxy S. All coverage was shot using the Samsung Galaxy S for the blog series and noted on the lower third of each video. Young Hollywood also organically integrated usage of the phone during interview segments and gifted notable celebrities with their own Samsung Galaxy S.
RESULTS
Young Hollywood helped drive awareness of the new Samsung Galaxy S phone through hands on exposure to some of today’s hottest musicians, actors, athletes and personalities. Phones were seamlessly integrated into segments and “Studio Secrets” footage, allowing celebrities to naturally interact with the Galaxy S. The “Studio Secrets” blog receives over 2 million impressions per month with content syndicated to Hulu, TVGuide.com and Yahoo!.
